The Collecting Practice is dedicated to thoughtful curation that goes beyond the expected. Led by Marie Becker, The Collecting Practice guides the creation of purposeful collections of emerging art that spark creativity, invite new perspectives, and defy conventional thinking, nurturing both your love of collecting and your connection to art.
What excites me most is helping build new collections and connecting emerging collectors with artists and ideas. It’s not simply about acquiring objects—it’s about developing relationships, participating in cultural conversations, and supporting creative practices at pivotal moments in an artist’s career. Collecting is rooted in curiosity, learning, and living with ideas. The most meaningful collections reflect a person’s values, interests, and engagement with the world. Art is something to be excited by, questioned, and connected to. Through a strong network of artists, curators, galleries, and institutions, I help people engage with art more deeply and confidently, building collections that are both personally meaningful and culturally relevant.
